Art of the Belly (AOTB) is Maryland’s largest Belly dance festival. We are genuinely a festive festival where fun and shenanigans happen. This is an all inclusive belly dance festival for hundreds of dancers of all levels from all over the country. This is our 6th year and growing. We are proud to host world renowned instructors to bring their skill and talents to Maryland.
Our after parties have become those of campfire stories. We have a new theme every year (last year was pirates. Our after party features our house band, and our original signature drink that you will not find at any other event, the Zaghareeta! The second drink is something new and delicious every year. In the past there was the Shimmylicious, the Headslide, Sidewinder and Mermaid Flutter. We do serious research and development to find the right blend to make our dancers happy. Please join us in our merriment.
We just love our attendees and look forward to seeing our old friends and making new ones! Just because the event is in March don’t let that fool you. Art of the Belly Dance Festival is what’s hot on the beach!!!
We have partnered with House of Ruth (HRM) in Baltimore. We have raised funds to help support the cause.
The House of Ruth Maryland is one of the nation's leading intimate partner violence centers, helping thousands of battered women and their children find the safety and security that so many of us take for granted.
If you are a person that have been or are abused- verbally, mentally or physically by your partner. Please know it is not ok. HRM has resources and will help. http://www.hruth.org/
